Director of Transit (Chicago) + Shared Mobility Practice Leader
Can you describe your work and how your planning degree contributes to it?
Advising transit agencies and cities across the country, including work on several bus rapid transit, rail, bus corridors, and in the shared mobility field. Key to his approach is an intuitive grasp of mass transit, mobility, access, market optimization, and transportation technology. My planning degree provided the foundation for these skills as well as an extensive network in Chicago and throughout the world.
What do you like most about your current job or related work in planning?
Exploring new transportation options and how they impact the way people move through cities. We have created several frameworks to assist transit agencies and departments of transportation.
What advice do you wish you had gotten as a MUPP or, conversely, what advice would you give to young planners today?
Always put people first.
